Little Flower School Jamshedpur students win big at ASISC National Championship

 Jamshedpur: Little Flower School (LFS) declared the remarkable achievements of the students in the ASISC National Championship 2023. The competition was fierce, and LFS students demonstrated exceptional talent, determination, and dedication, emerging as stars of the event.

 

In the literary events -Meenal Kaur Virdi of Little Flower School represented the Bihar-Jharkhand region, in the Junior category of the ASISC National Debate Competition.  Meenal stood confidently against students of 13 regions of the country, to state her views articulately and with seeming conviction, and walked away with the first prize. 

 

The National Finals of the Declamation Competition were held simultaneously at the same venue in the November 2023.  G. Veda Varshini and Lavanya Renuka Jha represented the Bihar-Jharkhand region in the Senior and Junior category respectively.   G. Veda Varshini displayed her skill as an orator, and secured the first place in her category. Lavanya Renuka Jha, in turn, proved her mettle once again, and was declared the First Runner-up in the Junior category.

 

The stellar performance of these three students has kept the flag of Little Flower School flying at the National level, and we are indeed proud.

 

The school has other reasons to be proud as students representing the Bihar-Jharhand region in other fields too, have made a mark in the national arena.

 

CISCE National Athletic Meet 2023 – Arshjit Singh and Sumit Sinha of Class 12 won gold and silver respectively in the discus throw.

 

CISCE National Yoga Championship – Adribhu Dey of Class 8 won two silver medals in separate events, while Ayushi Adhikari and Anushka Dey of Class 6 won bronze.

 

CISCE Handball Championship Under-17 Girls category – Shifa Suren of Class 6 won bronze while Ashni Monga also of Class 6 won bronze in the Under-14 Girls category.

 

School’s Taekwondo Champions continued their winning spree at the CISCE National Taekwondo Championship 2023.  These talented students brought home 6 bronze medals in their individual categories – Dilprit Singh, Srinika Basu, Amita Tigga, Khushi Srivastava and Adhyayan Malhotra

 

The ASISC Championship is an annual affair organized by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations each year, generating sheer enthusiasm and lively competition among the CISCE schools.  The excitement experienced at the Zonal level is carried through to the Regional level of the competition, thus reaching its peak at the National Final of each event.
