Jamshedpur, December 8: A free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Camp was organised today at Little Flower School (LFS), Jamshedpur, by Class XI students in collaboration with the District Animal Husbandry Office, Stylish Dogs and Cats Vet Care, and Pet Care Junction. The camp also provided free diabetes check-ups for dogs.
Under the guidance of veterinary experts including Dr. Smarjit Mandal (DHO), Dr. Jyotinder Narayan (SHO), Dr. Kundan Kumar and Dr. Nisha Mary, the vaccination process was carried out smoothly and safely. Their presence helped ensure professional care for every animal brought to the camp.
The initiative received an excellent response from the community. Around 65 dogs and cats were vaccinated. Many residents also brought stray animals, showing compassion and helping improve safety against rabies in the neighbourhood.

Class XI students actively supported the entire event—handling registrations, assisting doctors, and helping pet owners with the process. Their involvement made the campaign a unique blend of learning and social responsibility.

Pet owners and residents appreciated the school’s thoughtful effort to promote responsible pet care and animal welfare. Organisers said they hoped such drives would continue in future, encouraging more people to come forward in protecting pets and strays across the city.
