Liquor seized from ration shop in Jamshedpur, five jailed

Jamshedpur: Police seized a large amount of foreign liquor from a ration shop near the famous Hathikheda temple under the Bodam police station area of East Singhbhum district. A campaign was conducted under the leadership of Patmada DSP Sumit Kumar to raid the shops. The police arrested five accused along with seizing hundreds of bottles of foreign liquor from different brands.

DSP along with SI Abhay Kumar, ASI Satish Kumar and other jawans were involved in the campaign. Patmada DSP Sumit Kumar said that complaints of liquor sale were being received in shops around the temple for a long time. Action was taken on this basis. It was informed that information was also received by the government licensee shopkeeper of Bodam to sell liquor in the borrowings.

Hundreds of bottles were seized while raiding two shops. Arrested accused Sunil Mahato, Nepal Mahato, Parameshwar Manoj were sent to judicial custody after their appearance in court.
