Lions Jamshedpur North launches cleanliness drive

Jamshedpur, October 6: Lions Club of Jamshedpur North launched cleanliness drive under the Worldwide week of service of Lions Clubs International from 2nd to 8th October, at Sakchi roundabout on Thursday.

The members of the Lions Club of Jamshedpur North cleaned the road to spread awareness among the common people and not to throw garbage or any waste on the road.

On 2nd October as advised by DC Jamshedpur Amit Kumar IAS, Lion members conducted ‘No Plastic’ Campaign at Bistupur Market, Sidhgora Market and Burmamines Market where Lion members distributed 2000 Cloth Bags to the vendors as well as common people and motivated them not to use plastic bags.

Lions Club is schedule to organise eye check up camp among the students of a school at Mango on Friday, October 3. Where every student will be checked by an optometrist and free eye glasses will be distributed if required.

Members of the club present during the cleanliness drive were Ravi Saraogi, Palash Hazra, P.K.Nandi, B.P.Singh, Dhananjay Gupta, Arup Ghosh, Ashim Bhattacharya and others.
