Lions International convention begins in Jamshedpur, focus on service and leadership

Jamshedpur, April 11: The 59th Annual Convention of Lions International District 322A, the district arm of the world’s largest service organization, began with grandeur and enthusiasm at Hotel Alcor, Jamshedpur. The inaugural ceremony, held under the chief hospitality of International Director Lion Rajkumar Agarwal and chaired by District Governor MJF Lion Seema Bajpai, marked the beginning of a two-day celebration of leadership, service, and community spirit.

The event witnessed the presence of Convention President Lion Rajiv Ranjan, senior office bearers, several Past District Governors, and over 400 delegates representing 85 clubs from across the district. The convention included a mix of administrative sessions, service project discussions, and creative competitions, all aimed at the holistic development of Lion members.

The inaugural program was graced by dignitaries including Past District Governors PMJF Lion Kamal Jain, Lion Anup Verma, PMJF Lion Sanjay Kumar, MJF Lion Shubhra Majumdar, PMJF Lion H.N. Sondhi, Lion Shubham Vajpayee, and Lions Club India President Mr. Bharat Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bharat Singh commended the convention as “an inspiring and robust platform for promoting social service,” emphasizing its role in fostering unity, discussion, and impactful community action. He lauded the efforts of the organizing committee and congratulated all participating members for their commitment to service.
