Lions Club extend helping hands to senior citizens and primitive tribes�

Jamshedpur, August 19: Lions club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar on the occasion of Independence Day conducted two major service projects, one with the senior citizens of Baradwari and families of the primitive tribe of Bodam Block in Patamda.�

After hoisting the tricolour the member and other guest which included R M Lal, Joint Commissioner, Commercial Taxes visited old age home Aashirwad Bhawan in Baradwari and spend more than one hour with them, singing patriotic songs, bhajans and distributed fruits and biscuits amongst them.

The second social service projects related to relieving the hunger was conducted amongst the primitive tribal family at Patipani village in Bodam block of Patamda where members spent more than five hours.

Occupied by seventeen families of Birhor Community with only thirty male and forty children Lion members served foods to all of them with the help of Anganbadi Sevika Fekali Kumari. Children were so excited that they all sang many patriotic songs and also did Nagpur Dance.

The programme was coordinated by Vijay Singh, Club Secretary Saroja Lotti, Club PRO Mithilesh Kumar, President of the Club led the team at both the places which included Rajnish Kumar, First Vice District Governor and others.
