Lions blood drive at Chandil collects 30 units

Jamshedpur, September 19: Sadhu Charan Mahato, MLA, Ichagarh on Monday inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp held in Chandil.

The camp was facilitated by two Jamshedpur Based Lions Clubs- Lions Club of Jamshedpur North and Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar which is the home club of Centennial District Governor Rajnish Kumar.

Inaugurating the camp Sadhu Charan Mahato, MLA, Ichagarh was all praise for the Lions and requested them to involve more and more people of his constituency in social service projects which will help the young generation to sensitize with the community and in taking care of the deprived sections.

In spite of two deaths in Chandil today when many people went to the cremation ground and students election being held today thirty units of bloods were collected at the camp which was held at the Panchayat Bhawan with the support of Voluntary Blood Donors Association and Jamshedpur Blood Bank.

Diwakar Singh, Raj Kumar Gupta and his team of volunteers along with Nupur Das, President of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar and Ravi Sarogi, President of Lions Club of Jamshedpur North played an important role in getting the camp held at Chandil.

To motivate the people of Chandil Ashish Agarwal, District Public Relations Officer of Lions Clubs International came forward and donated the blood. Many girls also donated for the first time there.

Centennial District Governor Rajnish Kumar, Past District Governor Sudipto Mukherjee, Region Chairperson Arup Ghosh, Manik Lal Ghosh, Secretary of Jamshedpur Tatanagar club Dr Tapas Chatterjee also took an active part.
