LIC agent�s son tops St. Mary�s school

Jamshedpur, May 28: The students took a sigh of relief as the confusion over the declaration of CBSE Class 12 results was finally over and on Wednesday the board declared the result on its website at 11 am. St. Mary�s English High School, Bistupur performed well compared to previous years.

Shubham Shekhar Jha with 94.2 percent marks in Pure Science got the privilege to be school topper. Resident of Adityapur Shubham did his class 10 from DAV, Bhilai with score of 10 CGPA and later moved to Jamshedpur. Shubham who wants to become an engineer attributed his success to his parents and teachers from school and Prerna classes.

�I want to become an engineer and help my parents who have seen lot of struggle in their life and this was the reason I joined Prerna classes, hope I get good rank in JEE Mains and get into good college�, said Shubham. Topper further informed that his father Shailendra Jha is working as a LIC agent and his mother Nirmala Devi is a homemaker.

Shubham�s younger brother Satyam Shekhar Jha is in class 11 with pure science from the same school.

Fr. David Vincent, Principal of the school said I�m very happy with the results as hard work of the parents and teachers have paid off, 60 students in pure science, 61 in commerce and 52 students appeared in bio science stream making it to a total of 173 students out if which 10 have got compartments, added Principal Vincent.

Other toppers of the school were Ankita Choudhary who scored 92.3 percent in pure science just behind Shubham the school topper and third was Farheen Safdar with 92 percent.

In Bio Science Ashutosh Satapathy was the topper with 92.8 percent, Rupal Poddar was second with 91 percent and Priya Hansda bagged the third place with 89 percent marks.

In Commerce Shilpa Kumari was the school topper as she scored 93.2 percent, Priyank Agarwal scored 89.8 percent while third on the list was Renu Agrawal scoring 88.6 percent marks.
