‘Liberty Bloc’ App Launched to Promote Independent and Impartial Journalism

In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening independent and unbiased journalism in the digital age, a new journalism and news platform named “Liberty Bloc” officially launched its mobile application on Sunday in Jamshedpur. The platform was founded by young media entrepreneur Nigam Ghosh with the objective of promoting transparency in journalism, safeguarding freedom of expression, and empowering journalists through an independent digital ecosystem.

The launch event was held at a hotel in Golmuri in the presence of journalists, media professionals, and invited guests. Addressing the gathering, Nigam Ghosh said that public trust in the media sector has been facing increasing challenges in recent years, making it essential to create a platform where journalism remains free from political pressure, corporate influence, and ideological bias.

He stated that Liberty Bloc has been established with a clear vision of preserving the spirit of independent journalism. According to him, the role of journalism is to inform and enlighten society rather than control public opinion. He emphasized that the platform aspires to become a symbol of truth, accountability, and free expression.

Nigam Ghosh further explained that the platform will primarily focus on national and international news, independent reporting, public-interest issues, and journalist-led discussions. Liberty Bloc also intends to provide a dedicated digital space for emerging and independent journalists, enabling them to express their views and report stories without external pressure or interference.

Clarifying the platform’s editorial stance, he said Liberty Bloc is not associated with any political party, ideological group, or organization. Instead, its mission is to encourage balanced journalism, informed public discourse, healthy debate, and responsible news presentation.

He also highlighted the platform’s future plans, stating that Liberty Bloc aims to build a community-driven media ecosystem through the use of technology, transparency, and ethical journalism practices. According to him, the initiative is not merely a news platform but an effort to provide independent voices with a secure and credible stage from which journalists can contribute positively to society.

With the official launch of the application, Liberty Bloc has formally begun its journey with independent journalism and journalist empowerment at the center of its mission.
