Liberation is attained only when attachment is eradicated: Dr Thakur during Bhagwat Katha

Jamshedpur, July 24: The weeklong Shrimad Bhagwat Katha organized by the Garhwal family (originally from Thoi in Rajasthan) at the Jugsalai Rajasthan Shiv Mandir concluded on Monday with Havan Yagna for world peace and prosperity and distribution of consecrated food.

More than 600 devotees partook in the Prasad distribution. The Garhwal family and relatives performed the Aarti of the Vyas Pith from where His Holiness Dr Sanjeev Krishna Thakur narrated Bhagwat episodes in his mesmerizing, soothing and sensitive manner manner.

The concluding day’s Bhagwat Katha by Katha Vachak Maharaj Thakur Ji dwelt on the episodes on Pradyumna’s birth, the liberation of Sambarsur, various divine weddings, the character of Bhakt Sudama, the 24 Gurus of Lord Dattatreya and King Parikshit’s salvation.

 The narrator explained, “Liberation is attainable only when attachment is eradicated. Cultivate friendship like that of Lord Shree Krishna and Sudama. Every divine Leela of the Lord is meant to liberate individuals from their worldly bonds. Developing love and affection for the Lord from within one’s heart and soul opens the doors to salvation. As long as the soul remains entangled in worldly desires, the path to liberation remains closed.” The weeklong Bhagwat Katha narrated by the eminent and internationally popular religious scriptures’ Vachak, Maharaj Ji Dr Sanjeev Krishna Thakur had the elements of inspiring the followers to lead a detached and contented life. The enlightening stories of the Lord served as a beacon light amidst life’s uncertainties.
