
Jamshedpur, July 29: You might wonder for answers but Shaunak Goswami from class X and Rohit Verma from class VIII students of Little Flower School (LFS) managed to get most of their answers right to win the annual JRD Tata Inter School Quiz competition at the Michael John auditorium in Bistupur on Monday.

The LFS duo who scored 75 points were followed by Pranati Thakur and Viprag Kumar, class X students from Loyola School to grab the second place. The third place was won by class X students of DAV Public School Bistupur- Akash Biswas and Alok Kumar.
The Quiz was conducted by Quiz Master, Lloyd Saldanha from Bengaluru.

While the winning team bagged a cash prize of Rs 10,000, the first runner-up received Rs 8,000 while the second runner-up had to content with Rs 6,000. Both the top teams enjoyed a helicopter joy-ride over the city of Jamshedpur. All the finalists were given certificates in the presence of chief guest Sumita Nupur, an educationist and social worker.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumita Nupur said, �JRD Tata stands as an example for students as he has achieved so much for the country. Students have so many things to learn from him as he was such a humble leader. We are fortunate to live in the city which is home to some great leaders of the society�.
“We are excited to
win this quiz. It’s so special to know more about a legend and someone who is
so deeply connected to the city. In the process of winning, we have also learnt
new things about JRD Tata,” said Shaunak.
Six Jamshedpur schools – Little Flower School, Hill Top School, Rajendra
Vidyalaya, DAV Public School Bistupur, Loyola School and Little Flower School
had made it to the quiz finale. There were more than 70 teams from 29 city
schools that participated in the event. Altogether, more than 280 students of
Classes VIII to X participated in this year’s quiz competition.
