Leprosy patients to get pucca houses: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das here on Thursday said the state government would provide pucca houses to leprosy patients of Jharkhand. He said there are 246 such families residing in Ranchi.

The CM said the state government would train the children of leprosy patients and link them to various employment schemes. He said the government is committed to bring such families to the social mainstream. He was speaking during a meeting with a delegation of Sasakawa Foundation at the Jharkhand Secretariat.

The CM asked the delegation members to help the state eradicate leprosy from Jharkhand. He also appealed to the delegation members to work in eradicating kalazar and filariasis.
