Jamshedpur, May 5: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur, organized a legal awareness camp at Sidhu Kanhu School in Mango, during which a Legal Literacy Club was inaugurated. Rajendra Prasad, the Secretary of DLSA, graced the event as the chief guest.
The program commenced with a warm welcome song performed by the school’s students. Secretary Prasad engaged the children in discussions about the intricacies of law and the importance of education in achieving their aspirations. He emphasized the significance of understanding rights and fundamental duties alongside academic pursuits.
Various legal experts, including mediator advocate Rajesh Das and Legal Council chief Videsh Singh, provided detailed insights into different laws, such as those concerning domestic violence, child marriage, and child labor. Additionally, the children were educated about crucial topics like the POCSO Act and sexual harassment laws, as well as government welfare schemes.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including PLV Nagendra Kumar and Ashish Prajapati, among others. At the conclusion, the school Principal expressed gratitude for the informative session.
