Legal awareness camp held in Burmamines Harijan Basti

Jamshedpur: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur Civil Court, organized a legal awareness camp in Harijan Basti, Burmamines, in collaboration with Indian Welfare Society on Sunday. The chief guest of the occasion was First Class Judicial Magistrate Sushila Soreng. Magistrates Arpana Kumari and Angelina John were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Soreng said the government had started many schemes for the development and welfare of the citizens including children. In want of knowledge, many people are left out and are therefore unable to avail the benefits of these schemes, she said.

Soreng further said that only awareness could help people get the benefits of government schemes. She said poverty could be eliminated with awareness.
Dr Laxmi Nidhi of Indian Welfare Society spoke on the activities of the outfit.
Paralegal volunteers and other speakers appealed to the people to approach the DLSA office in case they need any legal help.

Among those present on the occasion included Sunil Pandey, Mukesh Das, Dilip Jaisawal, Shankar Gorai, Arun Rajak and Kanchan Singh.
