Ranchi: Jharkhand BJP president Laxman Gilua here on Monday announced the formation of the state BJP working committee with 76 members, eight vice presidents, three general secretaries, seven secretaries and six spokespersons. There are 44 specially invited members in the working committee.
The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato was nominated as the vice president of the committee besides seven others chosen for the same post.
Former bureaucrat JB Tubid and party leader Rajesh Kumar Shukla from Kolhan region were nominated as state spokespersons.
Gilua has asked the working committee members to begin disseminating information on the development and welfare works being carried out by the BJP led government in the state among the people. He said the party workers of all ranks should make sure the people, especially those in rural areas, get to know about the government schemes being run for their benefit.
�Party members are to play the vital role of a bridge between the government and the people. They should cooperate with the government in spreading useful public information regarding development and welfare schemes being run by the Central and the state government under the umbrella of BJP,� Gilua told party members.
Other vice presidents of the working committee include former minister Hemlal Murmu, Usha Pandey, MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwary, former MLA Sameer Oraon,, Aditya Sahu and Priya Singh. The post of state general secretary (organization) is yet to be occupied.
MP Sunil Singh, Deepak Prakash and MLA Anant Ojha were nominated as general secretary.
Other party leaders included in the working committee include Pradeep Verma, MLA Naveen Jaisawal, former MP Ghuran Ram, Muneshwar Sahu, Manoj Singh, Subodh Kumar Singh Guddu, Nutan Tiwary, Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar, Ganesh Mishra, Dr Sarita Srivastava, Deendayal Varnwal, Pratul Shahdeo, Sanjay Jaisawal, Shivpujan Pathak, Amit Kumar and Pravin Prabhar.
