Land scam: ED raids Jamshedpur businessmen Ravi Bhatia and Shyam Singh’s house


Jamshedpur: In a major development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the locations of two prominent businessmen in the city in connection with corruption charges against an IAS officer former DC of Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan in a land scam. The raids were part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of bribery and other illegal activities involving the officer and the two builders.

The ED raided Ravi Singh Bhatia’s house at Begonia Tower in Bistupur Contractors area on Wednesday morning. The ED team looked for documents. The team also raided the residence of builder Shyam Singh, resident of Gaushala Nala Road, Jugsalai. Shyam Singh is also associated with land business. He has a mall in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The team is also raiding his residence.

According to information received from sources, the ED team is conducting raids in the case of IAS Chhavi Ranjan. In the investigation of ED, it has come to light that Ravi Singh Bhatia is also involved in the purchase and sale of land.

According to sources, the ED officials carried out searches at multiple locations, including the offices and residences of the builder. Several incriminating documents and other evidence were reportedly seized during the raids.

The IAS officer, who is currently under investigation, is alleged to have accepted bribes from the builders in exchange for various favours. The ED’s investigation is focused on identifying the extent of the officer’s involvement in the alleged corruption and identifying other individuals who may have been involved.

The raids have sent shockwaves throughout the city, with many expressing outrage at the allegations of corruption at the highest levels of government. The incident has also raised concerns about the need for greater transparency and accountability in public service.

“The ED has vowed to continue its investigation and bring all those involved in the alleged corruption to justice. The agency has also urged the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the case.
