Laloo to appear in special CBI court today

Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav today arrived in the state Capital to appear in the special court of Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with a case related to the fodder scam.

He was welcomed by the state president of the party Girinath Singh, minister Annapurna Devi, Suresh Paswan and other MLAs and leaders of the state.

Speaking to scribes, Yadav said the state government had done good work under the leadership of CM Hemant Soren. He said the Union Finance Minister had recently said that the various states had not been given adequate cess against mineral resources.

He said the previous state government led by the Bharatiya Janata party had completely failed. He further said that the Union rail budget had nothing for Jharkhand.

Yadav criticized former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and BJP leader Giriraj Singh. He said the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax authorities should interrogate the BJP leader to find out as to how did he amassed so much wealth.

He said the notes seized from him had bank seals and hence a probe should be initiated to find out their sources.
