Lakshya Verma receives Mr. Loyola Award

Jamshedpur, June 21: Loyola School, Telco celebrated its 6th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony with great enthusiasm and pride, commemorating a significant milestone as the institution honoured the achievements of its first-ever ICSE batch. The event highlighted academic excellence, leadership, perseverance, and all-round development among students.

The ceremony was graced by chief guest Parul Singh, former Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Adityapur Municipal Corporation and an officer of the Jharkhand Administrative Service. The programme began on a spiritual note with a prayer dance performed by students.

Students were felicitated across various categories, including General Proficiency, Remarkable Improvement, Golden Heart (Student for Others), and Resilience and Grit Awards. A colourful fusion dance performance added vibrancy to the event, while Gaurav Mahato, the first President of the School Student Council, shared his experiences and insights on leadership and responsibility.

One of the major highlights of the ceremony was the recognition of the school’s inaugural ICSE batch. Subject toppers were honoured for their exceptional academic performance. Students who excelled in various co-curricular activities, including the Press Club, Literary Club, Bio Club, Interact Club, Jyoti Club, Art Club, Music, Dance, General Knowledge, and Sports, were also presented with the prestigious Principal’s Awards.

Addressing the gathering, Parul Singh encouraged students to dream ambitiously, face challenges with confidence, and become responsible citizens. She emphasized that success was achieved through hard work, consistency, determination, and dedication. She also urged parents to instill resilience in their children, respect educators, and serve as positive role models.

The coveted ICSE Batch Topper Award was presented to Jishan Som for securing the highest marks in the board examinations. Lakshya Verma received the prestigious Mr. Loyola Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership qualities, discipline, confidence, and overall excellence.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Charanjeet Ohson. A heartfelt rendition of the Candle Song followed by the Loyola Anthem brought the memorable celebration to a fitting close. Among those present were Rector Fr. Michael, Fr. Oscar Horo, Administrator Fr. Gerry D’Souza, Vice-Principals Reshma Rodrigues and Zeenat Maria Sundi, and Moderator Colleen Xavier.
