Jamshedpur, June 5: Lafarge India’s Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) celebrated “World Environment Day” on Sunday, June 5.
The event was inaugurated by Manoj Kumar Agrawal, vice-president Jojobera Cement Plant followed by tree plantation and flag hoisting at the company premises.
On this occasion Jojobera Cement Plant employees and contractual workers planted 200 saplings across the plant area. In addition, during the month Lafarge India employees will plant 500 saplings in nearby areas to reiterate their commitment towards environment and spread awareness on the need and importance of trees.
Manoj Kumar Agrawal, vice-president Jojobera Cement Plant, said, ‘Tree plantation helps maintain environmental balance.
Lafarge believes that there can be no sustainable economic development without the preservation of nature and hence as a part of our 2020 ambitions Lafarge India’s Jojobera Cement Plant employees will plant 500 saplings during the month in and around the plant premises. Thereby, contributing towards a better environment.”
Present at the event was Jiteendra Jain, AVP , Saroj Singh, Head Logistic, Amit Agarwal, Head Accounts, Shrikant Singh, Head Safety, Shailendra Singh, Head Production, Shishir Shukla, Head Plant Inventory , Ananad Panday, Head Maintenance, Anupam Kumari and all employees.
