Kurmi Sena writes to PM Modi, demands arrest of eve-teasing accused

Jamshedpur: A delegation of Kurmi Sena, Jharkhand, headed by its president Shailendra Mahato on Monday handed over a letter to the Seraikela-Kharsawan DC Chhavi Ranjan addressed to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi demanding arrest of Kuldeep Kumar Ghosal accused of eve-teasing and threatening a girl.

According to the letter, a girl named Sudha Kumari filed a case against Kuldeep Kumar Ghosal at Seraikela Police Station on September 20, 2017 after being fed up with the incident. But even after one month the accused is on the run and the Sereikela Civil Surgeon is trying to protect him.

The delegation urged the Prime Minister to help arrest the accused Kuldeep Ghosal and suspend civil surgeon with immediate effect. The copy of the letter has also been sent to Seraikela SP and Seraikela Police Station in-charge. The copy of the FIR was also attached with the letter. Also part of the delegation were Ram Prasad Mahato, Phani Bhusan Das, Manik Mahato, Mangi Lal Mahato, Ganga Ram mahato and others.
