Jamshedpur, July 7: In a significant political development, Kunal Sarangi, former BJP state spokesperson and ex-MLA, has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sarangi submitted his resignation from the party’s primary membership to BJP state president Babulal Marandi, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the party’s approach to local issues.

In his resignation letter, Sarangi stated, “I have taken this decision after deep thinking and introspection.” He elaborated that for several months, he had been feeling that the party was “completely indifferent” towards the important issues of East Singhbhum district, despite his repeated efforts to bring these matters to the attention of the state president and other senior officials.

Sarangi highlighted his previous resignation from the post of state spokesperson, hoping it would prompt the party to address his concerns. However, he lamented that the situation remained unchanged. He criticized the elected representatives for their silence on many basic facilities in the district, particularly on youth-related issues, and noted a lack of seriousness towards the organization’s internal discipline.

The former MLA expressed his inability to align with a system where the state leadership has not taken concrete steps to address these concerns. He emphasized that it was no longer possible for him to do justice to his main objective of entering politics while remaining in the BJP under the current circumstances.

Sarangi stressed the importance of strongly advocating for the people of East Singhbhum district to ensure proper resolution of their problems, which he felt was not feasible within the BJP’s current framework.

Sources close to the matter suggest that Sarangi had been feeling neglected within the BJP for an extended period, which ultimately led to his resignation. Political observers are now keenly watching to see what his next move will be.
