Jamshedpur, Aug 29: A traditional Kumkum Puja was organized at the Andhra Samiti Telco (East Zone) Ganpati Mandir under the supervision of Sangeeta. The rituals began with offerings of Kumkum and turmeric to Lord Ganesha and Goddess Gauri, followed by a detailed Puja performed by the priest with Vedic chants in line with Telugu customs.
Around 60 women took part in the ceremony, creating an atmosphere of devotion and positivity. Speaking on the occasion, Executive Women Member Sangeeta said, “Kumkum attracts positive energy, purifies the environment, and is a symbol of good luck. It is especially auspicious for married women, believed to protect their husbands and bring happiness and prosperity to families.”
The Puja was attended by Sangita, Arvind Padma, Yam Radhika, Bharti, Sunita, B. Padma, K. Lakshmi, Annapurna, Lakshmi, and Vijay Lakshmi, and conducted under the guidance of Anil Kumar.
