Ramgarh: A bus carrying devotees from Ranchi to Prayagraj caught fire late at night near the wooden gate diversion in Kujju, Ramgarh district. Fortunately, all 30 passengers, along with the driver, managed to escape unharmed before the bus was completely engulfed in flames.

According to passengers, the incident occurred after a tyre burst suddenly. “As soon as the tyre burst, smoke started coming out. The driver stopped the bus and we were asked to get off immediately,” said one of the devotees. Soon after, the fire spread rapidly, causing panic among the passengers.

The fire brigade was informed, but by the time the fire engines arrived, the sleeper coach bus had been reduced to ashes. However, officials managed to bring the fire under control after some time.

The devotees had booked a private bus named Prithvi to travel to the Kumbh Mela. “It was a terrifying experience, but we are grateful that everyone is safe,” a passenger said. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
