Kuldip Vatsa appointed President of Karate Association of India


Plans to visit Jamshedpur after December

Jamshedpur, Nov 29: Kuldip Vatsa, Vice President of Indian Olympic Association, has been appointed the President of Karate Association of India (KAI). He took charge during the emergency governing body meeting of KAI held in New Delhi on November 26. Kuldip Vatsa also holds the post of President of Delhi Olympic Association.

The meeting was presided over by Rajnesh Choudhary, General Secretary, KAI.

After taking charge, Kuldip Vatsa informed that he himself will visit every state association and provide all possible help to Karatekas as is being done in other sport by Olympic Association and respective state government.

Further he said that every year state and national level karate championship will be organised. 

Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao, vice president, Karate Association of India (KAI) and general secretary, Jharkhand State Karate Do Association (JSKA) welcomed the new President of KAI and requested him to visit Jamshedpur. Kuldip Vatsa assured to plan a visit to Steel City after December.

Nageshwar Rao, veteran martial art mentor further said that Karatekas of Jharkhand and India have bright future ahead. Under the guidance of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) karatekas will be able to participate in National Games, Asian Games, Saarc Games, Olympics and other national and international competitions, he added.

KAI VP thanked Rajnesh Choudhary, Yogendra Chauhan and Deepak Agarwal for their efforts in making the meeting successful. Also present during the meeting were KAI office bearers and members along with Rajnish Choudhury, Yogendra Chauhan, Deepak Agarwal, Hasrat Khan, Neel Moses, Paramjeet Singh, Jaydev Sharma, E. Srinivas, Ashwin Sethi, Dominc, Rajshekharan, Tarun Chakraborty, Baikunth, Sumit Chillar and others.
