KU students ready to shine in East Zone youth festival

Jamshedpur, Jan. 3: 31st Inter University East Zone Yuva Festival kicked off with Cultural Rally at Tejpur University in Assam.

At the rally 22 member contingent of Kolhan University (KU) all dressed up traditionally participated. The KU team with Chhau dance along with drums was the centre of attraction. Dr. RK Choudhary, KU contingent in-charge, said, the talent of Kolhan University will put up performance here and would participate in seven competitions.

On January 4 KU team would participate in- On the spot painting, poster making and collage. On January 5 clay modeling and Chhau dance while cartooning and light vocal solo.

Dr. Choudhary informed that Dama Soren from Co-operative College would participate in Clay Modeling, Collage and poster making. Shubham Gorai from Karim City would be part of On the spot painting and cartooning.

Students of Patamda Degree College will present Chhau dance while Motiram Devgam from Chaibasa will present light vocal solo songs.

Team Manager Dr. Choudhary informed that Yuva Mahotsav has been orgtanised in the name of Brahmaputra Mahotsav and would conclude on January 7.

A total of 14 participants from 4 KU colleges along with 7 accompanists and a contingent in-charge all comes up to 22 members. The 5-day festival is witnessing students from 26 universities of East Zone.
