Jamshedpur, Sept 13: A successful plantation drive was organised at Deer Park, Dalma on September 13, with land support provided by the Forest Department. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) and Kerala Samajam Hindi School (KSHS), Golmuri.
Guided by Forest Department officials and their teachers, the students planted saplings of various native tree species across the park. The initiative was aimed at increasing green cover, conserving biodiversity, and encouraging environmental responsibility among young learners.
Participants also pledged to take care of the saplings and spread awareness about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance.
School Principal Nandini Shukla, Vice Principal Sujata Singh, and Registrar Vrinda Suresh thanked the Forest Department for their support and praised the students for their active involvement. Teachers accompanying the students included Deepta Chakraborty, Jaya Ghosh, Amita Nathan, Tulika Malhotra, and Sheela Sudhakaran from KSMS, and Lipika Sarkar and Sweta Singh from KSHS.
The drive concluded with a call to continue such eco-friendly initiatives.
