Jamshedpur, Nov 29: Kerala Samajam Model School celebrated its 32nd Annual Sports Day 2025–26 with great enthusiasm at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco on Saturday.
The event, held from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, showcased the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and youthful energy.
The programme commenced with an impressive march-past by the School Cabinet and senior students. The red, green, yellow, and blue house flags added a splash of colour against the clear sky, setting a spirited tone for the day.
Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President, Tata Workers’ Union, graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest.
He inaugurated the event by hoisting the school flag and taking the salute, lauding the enthusiasm and discipline displayed by the students before declaring the meet open.
A symbolic lamp of sportsmanship was lit by the Chief Guest, followed by the ceremonial torch relay. The torch was carried by the school’s distinguished Regional and National-level athletes — a group of over 30 students including Shubh Agrahari, K. Adi Narayan, Vindhy Kumar Pandey, Khushi, Chirag Kishore, Anushka Kumari, Kabita Singh, Jaskaran Singh Khehra, Aarti Murmu, and many more.
Students of Classes IV and V captivated the audience with a lively drill performance that highlighted discipline, coordination, and teamwork. Karate and Yoga demonstrations further added to the spectacle, impressing everyone with their precision and grace. Special children also took part enthusiastically in carom and chess competitions, earning medals and certificates for their efforts.
In the house-wise results, Charity House emerged as the Overall Champion, while Peace House secured the Runners-up position.
Charity House also bagged the award for Best March-Past.
Among individual honours, Ashmit Shekhar (Std XII) was declared Best Athlete (Boys), and Khushi (Std X) was named Best Athlete (Girls).
The closing ceremony was presided over by Principal Nandini Shukla, who distributed prizes to the winners across various events.
The stadium resounded with cheers as students celebrated their achievements. The memorable day concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful culmination of the 32nd Annual Sports Day.
