Kerala Samajam Model School felicitates meritorious students at annual Prize Nite
Jamshedpur, June 23: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) hosted annual Prize Nite 2024–25 on Saturday to honour the achievements of its students from Classes VIII to XII. The event was held on the school campus and celebrated academic excellence, sports achievements, and holistic development.
The Chief Guest for the evening was Smitha Pankaj, IFS, Regional Chief Conservator of Forests, Singhbhum, Jamshedpur. She, along with the school Principal Nandini Shukla, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The event was attended by board members of Kerala Samajam, faculty, students, and other stakeholders.

Principal presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s academic accomplishments, ongoing projects, and co-curricular successes throughout the year. She commended the efforts of the students and staff in maintaining high standards of excellence.
The event saw the distribution of trophies, medals, and appreciation letters to students who excelled in the ICSE and ISC 2025 board examinations. Top achievers were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
In ISC (Pure Science), Debjyoti Ray topped with 96.5%, followed by Mohammad Ammar Abdurraquib with 95.75%, and Tejas Jhunjhunwala with 95.5%. In the ISC (Bio Science) stream, Prachi Agarwal secured the top position with 95%, followed by Anusha Naaz with 92.25% and Anshika Kumari with 88.75%.

In ISC (Commerce), Manish Jha ranked first with 96.25%, followed by Harshveen Kour at 95.25%. Shaurya Agarwal and Tanusha Agarwal shared the third spot with 93.75%.
For ICSE (Science), Gayathri Nair topped with an impressive 98.2%, while Sonal Das secured third place with 97.2%. In ICSE (Commerce), Riya Kumari and Shreya Biswas jointly topped with 92.4%, followed by Priyanshi Choudhary (91.8%) and Aalok (91.4%).
Gayathri Nair and Sonal Das received scholarships from the school for continuing their studies in Classes XI and XII. Ananya Kumari of Class XI was awarded the Hemprabha Shukla Scholarship for her exceptional academic effort. The Srirekha Mohan Memorial Trophy for highest marks in Mathematics (97%) was presented to Naman Kumar Bhagat and Adarsh Kumar Srivastava.
The ceremony also recognised achievements in sports. Shub Agrahari and Varun Raj were felicitated for winning gold medals at the CISCE National Taekwondo Championship 2024. Tejas Das was honoured with a bronze medal in the CISCE National Yoga Championship. Letters of appreciation and cash prizes were given to these sports achievers.
The Best Scout Award was presented to Jasraj Singh (Class XII), while Taranpreet Kaur (Class IX) was named Best Guide.
The evening concluded with vibrant cultural performances including music and dance by the students. Chief Guest Smitha Pankaj praised the prize winners and encouraged all students to strive for continued success. She applauded the school for fostering a spirit of excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.
