Jamshedpur, Nov. 30: Students of Interact Club of Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma spread cheer among special children as they spent their day out in a picnic at Jubilee Park on Friday. The initiative was a part of the ‘International Disability Day ‘.
The special children of Jeevika centre situated at Sonari interacted with the KPS students from class 9 and 11. The special children also took out a rally from the park to spread greater awareness on environment.
On the occasion, Navjit Marwa, moderator, Interact Club, said that the idea was to help our school student come closer to special children of Jeevika and understand their abilities. Marwa also appreciated the commitment of Jeevika towards the children of the society and noted that it is the best way to celebrate the feat with the children. A little contribution would bring smile to the children of Jeevika.
Founded by Awtar Singh, Jeevika is providing quality education and vocational training to mentally challenged differently abled children.
Speaking on the occasion, Navjit Marwa said: � We at Kerala Public School strongly believes that social responsibility is an integral part of life and puts honest effort in giving back to society as a responsible citizen�.
