KPS Kadma honors unsung heroes on Sarthi Diwas

Jamshedpur, Nov 29: Kerala Public School Kadma celebrated Sarthi Diwas on Nov 26, 2024, to honour the dedication of the unsung heroes—drivers, conductors, and support staff—who ensure road safety. The event, held from 8:00 to 9:30 am, featured Chief Guest Shri Niraj, DSP (Traffic), along with dignitaries such as Laxmi R, Academic Director of KPS Schools, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, and Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar.

The day began with a serene meditation session, a flag-hoisting ceremony, and a heartfelt prayer song. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and school leaders set an inspiring tone. A welcome song for the sarthis moved the audience, followed by Principal Mukherjee’s presentation of a safety report. Student speaker Nirvika Murmu emphasized road safety’s importance.

Highlights included a vibrant dance performance by primary students, a thought-provoking nukkad natak on road safety, and a ramp walk showcasing traffic rules. Members of the Eco Club presented handmade cards and wristbands to the sarthis as tokens of appreciation. A unified pledge reiterated the school’s commitment to road safety.

Chief Guest Shri Niraj encouraged gratitude for the sarthis and stressed the significance of adhering to traffic rules. The event concluded with sarthis sharing their experiences, a vote of thanks by Headmistress Ravishankar, and the national anthem.

Sarthi Diwas fostered respect and gratitude, showcasing the school’s dedication to holistic values and community appreciation.
