KPS Kadma felicitates autorickshaw and van drivers

Jamshedpur, Aug. 9: As part of the Safety Week celebration, Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma felicitated the autorickshaw and van drivers as they adhere to safety rules.

The school not only felicitated the drivers but also spread greater awareness about safety through a power point presentation.

The autorickshaw and van drivers were felicitated with caps for their remarkable job of safely picking and dropping the children to school.

A nukkad natak was also put up by students of the school. About 50 drivers were present at the Safety Week celebration today and took a pledge in unison to uphold the safety of the children at all cost.

The Safe Club of Kerala Public School, Kadma is observing the Safety week that began today and will conclude on August 11. The theme of the Safety Week is �Pause-Look-Act: No substitute to Safety.�

The school has lined up several activities to promote safety habits and education among students and teachers.

The school will organize crossword puzzle, a mock fire drill and a session on personal safety to be organised by CII Yi.

On the third and concluding day, the school will organise drawing and painting competition, a safety quiz and students from various classes who would speak on safety of girl child and cyber safety.

While addressing the students a teacher said that almost everybody knows the basic rules of road safety, but they do not implement.

Now the time has come that we should implement in our day to day life. She motivated the students to take lead on such social issues and set examples for others.

The campus reverberated with a melodious song thanking the autorickshaw and van drivers for their valuable contribution. The Annual Safety Report was read by the Principal Sharmila Mukherjee.

Friendship bands and Emergency number cards were given to the autorickshaw and van drivers by the members of Eco Club and Safe Club.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Satya Raj, Chief, Safety, Jusco, also addressed the gathering with his valuable words, stressing on Safety-the utmost priority at all places.

The vote of thanks was extended by the Headmistress of the School, Jaishree K.
