Jamshedpur: Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma celebrated �Matri-Pitri Pujan� diwas on with the objective of inculcating values among children and the programme signified the importance of parents in our lives.
The event started with the lighting of the lamp by Chairperson, Manorama Nair, Director, Sharat Chandran, Academic Director, Lakshmi Sharat, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee and Headmistress, K.Jaishree . The programme was observed by the parents and the students of Std III to VIII.
The gathering was welcomed by an address by the Principal of the school, Sharmila Mukherjee. On this occasion a thought provoking speech was delivered by the students expressing the importance of parents in our lives. Students showed love and respect to their parents by applying tika and offering garland and sweets to them. A beautiful song highlighting the importance of parents was also sung by the students.
The students then took a parikrama around the parents to show that they are special to them and giving them the topmost place in their lives. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by the Headmistress K. Jaishree.
The teachers Archana Rani, Vibha Jha, Gurmeet Kaur and Reeta played a vital role in the smooth organization of the programme.
