Jamshedpur, Sep 9: Kerala Public Schools organised blood donation camp to pay homage to school chairman, APR Nair on his fifth death anniversary here today. A total of 247 units of blood were collected at the camp held at the 3 strategically located schools Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma, NML Kerala Public School and Kerala Public School Mango. 116 units of blood was collected at KPS Mango, followed by KPS Kadma (80 units) and NML KPS (51 units).
The day has been christened as “Celebration of Life” as a tribute and homage to the great man known as the “Saksharta Man of Jamshedpur”.
He was instrumental in making English medium education affordable to all strata of the society.

Earlier, the program at all schools started with prayer and bhajan followed by blood donation camp at all three branches of KPS.
At KPS Kadma the camp began with the lighting of the lamp by Past District Governor Rotarian Vijay Mehta.
Present at the event were founder Principal Shanta Vaidynathan, Academic Director Lakshmi Sharat, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Head Mistress Alamelu Ravishankar and all the members of the staff.
