Jamshedpur : Wildlife Quiz was organised on day 4 of the on-going Wildlife Week Celebration 2017 in Tata Steel Zoological Park on Wednesday.
The quiz was held for the students of Std. 9 to 12 where a total of 40 teams comprising 80 students from 20 schools in and around the city participated.
The Program was organised in association Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina and Abiraa Arts. The students were subjected to a challenging screening round, and finally 4 teams made it into the finals round. The Quiz Master was Subhojit.
With the aim of raising awareness, the questions made the students think and tested their knowledge and preparation from the field of Wildlife and Nature Conservation.
Team Leopard from Kerala Public School, Gamharia comprising of Piyush Kumar and Abhinav Kumar Sharma won the first prize.
Team Lion from AIWC Academy of Excellence comprising of Aditya Kumar Ojha and Sutej Sharma were crowned the runners-up followed by team Cheetah from Loyola School which comprised of Ambarish Jha and Kanishk Mukherjee. Consolation prize was awarded to team Tiger from Shiksha Niketan which comprised of Vivek Prasad and Nikhil Raj.
Dr. M Palit, Deputy Director, Sanjay Kumar Mahato, Curator, TSZP, Priyanka and Swati Singh, Abiraa Arts, Geeta Dubey, President, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina, Sangita Sarkar, Teacher, NML KPS, Monalisa Banerjee (EA), Shefali Das, Pratap Singh Gill and Zoo Volunteer Iram Khan and Zoya Khan were present. The Program was coordinated by Dr.Seema Rani – Biologist cum Education Officer, TSZP.
