KPS Gamharia blood drive collects 109 units

Jamshedpur, March 18: Like every year, the Gamharia unit of Kerala Public School (KPS) organized a blood donation camp at the school premises on Thursday.

As against the 77 units collected last year, the school managed to collect 109 units of blood this time. Parents and residents around the school turned up in large numbers at the camp.

Principal of the school Rashmi Sinha said this outstanding performance shows the warm relationship the school maintains with the parents and the surrounding residents throughout the year.

The team of teachers, worked day in and day out for the success of the Camp under the leadership of the Sinha. The teachers including Sushmita Sinha, Usha Deepak, Rashmi Thakur, D. K. Sharma, Birendra, Seema Choudhary, Manoj Pandit, Punam Pandit, and Madhumati Roy made the camp successful.

As usual, the Voluntary Blood Donors Association members, under the leadership of its president and founder Sunil Mukherjee, helped running the camp smoothly. Krishna Mukherjee, Majumdar and others worked incessantly for its success.

The Technical Group of Jamshedpur Blood Bank comprised of Anup Srivastav, Dhananjay Mahto, Manju Prasad and Nirjala.

Each unit of Kerala Public Schools organizes a blood donation camp each year for the poor cancer patients. Its other purpose is to make their students socially responsible and compassionate.
