Kotwali DSP takes unconventional route, nabs six drug smugglers in Ranchi

Ranchi: Kotwali Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Soe took an unconventional approach to combat drug smuggling as he arrived in an e-rickshaw to apprehend culprits near Vidhannagar bridge in the Sukhdev Nagar police station area. Acting on secret information received on Thursday night, DSP Soe initiated a swift operation against drug smugglers, resulting in the detention of six individuals associated with the illicit drug trade.

During the operation, a significant quantity of narcotics, including ganja and brown sugar, was seized by the police. The detained smugglers are currently undergoing interrogation to gather more information about the network and activities related to the drug trade.

It has been reported that the Vidyanagar bridge area is a hotspot for drug-related activities in the evening, with large-scale buying and selling of drugs. In response to this information, Kotwali DSP Prakash Soe’s proactive approach demonstrates a commitment to curbing the menace of drug smuggling in the region.
