Seraikela: A youth named Nandan Kumar Jha (30) of Kolkata died in a car accident at Raghunathpur under Rajnagar police station area under Seraikela Kharsawan district. On Friday, at around 3:30 pm on Hata Chaibasa Main Road NH 220, a young man in a car hit a pickup van coming from the opposite direction. The collision was so strong that the pickup van also overturned on the road.
Local people called 108 ambulances soon after the incident. Police were also informed. About ten minutes later, with the help of 108 ambulances, the injured car rider and the driver of the pickup van were rushed to the Community Health Center. Dr. Arjun Soren, Medical Officer Incharge, declared the injured young man dead after investigation. The pickup van driver suffered minor injuries.
Police spoke to the deceased’s mobile and gave information about the incident to his family. Police said that after the relatives arrived, the body would be handed over after a post-mortem. According to the information, Nandan Kumar Jha, son of Ramkumar Jha, resident of Kolkata 106 Block C Bangur Avenue, Kolkata Lake Town, was coming from his car (WB26BA3394) towards Chaibasa.
