KU Fast-Tracks Admissions to Regularize Academic Calendar

Jamshedpur: Kolhan University has accelerated its examination schedule to bring delayed academic sessions back on track. The university conducted the entrance examination for the 2025–28 session just six months after the previous 2024–27 admission test.

Acting on directives issued by Professor (Dr.) Anjila Gupta, the university administration issued examination notification on March 10 and completed all logistical arrangements within 12 days.

Entrance Exam Statistics

Co-operative College served as the designated examination centre for the Law aspirants. Out of the 459 candidates who applied for admission to Co-operative Law College, 301 students appeared for the test, while 158 remained absent.

Leadership and Supervision

Senior officials monitored the entire process to ensure transparency and smooth conduct. Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singh, serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and CVC, supervised the proceedings from early morning. The examination team operated under Centre Superintendent Dr. Amar Singh, with key support from:

  • Examination Controller: Dr. Antara Kumari
  • Deputy Controller: Dr. Swati Soren
  • Official: Dr. Ashok Rabbani

Restoring Academic Normalcy

The university previously faced significant delays, particularly in the LL.B. programme, due to the prolonged absence of a permanent Vice-Chancellor. The current leadership has prioritized timely examinations and admissions to clear this backlog. This proactive shift offers fresh optimism that the university will soon streamline all remaining sessions, directly benefiting thousands of students across the region.
