Jamshedpur: Kolhan University has postponed the Chhatra Sangh elections. A decision to this effect was taken by the election conduct committee of the university on Friday. In a meeting of the committee, the committee president cum pro-Vice Chancellor Ranjeet Kumar Singh said the election was postponed due to a number of reasons. He said the nomination and registration process was still on in the colleges. The voters� list has also not been completed by the colleges. Despite instructions, many colleges have not provided the voters� list, he said.
Among others present at the meeting included DSW AK Upadhyaya, Proctor Dr AK Jha, CCDC Dr JP Mishra, Examination Controller Dr PK Pani, Finance Officer Sudhanshu Kumar, Kasturi Boypai and Dr KN Pradhan.
KU admissions up by 35 per cent
Jamshedpur: Kolhan University is way ahead from other universities in terms of admissions. This year, the number of students admitted to the university is 35 per cent more than last year�s figures. This was informed by the Secretary of HRD department, Government of Jharkhand, through video conferencing. In the second phase of admissions, 3122 students took admission in the various KU colleges.
