Jamshedpur, August 29:Kolhan University has changed the holiday of Raksha Bandhan. While issuing a notification on Tuesday afternoon, the university administration has informed that instead of 30, the Raksha Bandhan holiday will now be on August 31.
Also, the exam to be held on August 31 has been postponed. It has been told in the notification that the next date of examinations will be announced later through the Controller of Examinations of Kolhan University.
It is known that former MLA cum BJP State Spokesperson Kunal Sarangi had sought information from Manoj Kumar, vice chancellor cum divisional commissioner of Kolhan University. Kunal wrote that on August 31 i.e. on the day of Rakshabandhan, KU has scheduled examinations for LLB second semester and many other subjects and demanded the postponement of the examinations.
On the other hand, there is confusion regarding the private schools of Jamshedpur. In many private schools, examinations are scheduled on the day of Raksha Bandhan (August 31). In such a situation, there is confusion among the parents. In this matter also, state BJP spokesperson Kunal Sarangi has requested the intervention of the district administration. On the other hand, Kunal has also requested the District Education Officer and District Superintendent of Education to issue related orders after taking proper cognizance.
