Jamshedpur, August 29: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy claimed that a meeting was held with managing director Tata Steel UISL, Rituraj Sinha on civic amenities, drinking water and sanitation issues in Jamshedpur.
It was decided that work on water supply scheme of Bhuiyandih areas will start soon along with laying of pipelines and the work would be completed in a year.
On construction of the road leading to the Subernarekha river from Litti Chowk, three culverts will be constructed on the drain in front of Lal Bhatta-Babudih-Bhuiyadih so that the people of this area get an alternative route for traffic evacuation. It is noteworthy that a bridge is going to be built on the river to connect NH 33 from here.
Water supply scheme for Jojobera area will be completed in six months. Filling of water form will start from December-January.
Saryu Roy claimed that a dozen public facility schemes was agreed upon in Burmamines area, including the construction of a big drain.
TSUISL assured to clean the drains of Kashidih Road No. 1 Bagan area. This drain has not been cleaned for the last eight years.
In the settlements where the water supply pipe has been laid, the work of filling consumer farms will be expedited and water will be provided.
