Jamshedpur: All petrol pumps of Kolhan will remain shut on 13th October as a part of a nationwide strike by the petrol pump owners. The general secretary of Petrol Dealer Association Rajeev Kumar Singh said the decision was taken in the first meeting of United Petroleum Front which comprises of three major organizations of petrol dealers.
He said the agitation has been planned to demand bringing petroleum products under the purview of GST, remove penalty being imposed under marketing discipline guidelines and stop daily changes in the petroleum and diesel prices. He said the daily changes in the prices of petroleum and diesel were causing loss to both the consumers as well as the dealers.
Singh said petrol and diesel pumps will witness no transaction on 13th October. He said an indefinite strike would be launched from 27th October in case the government refuses to fulfill the demands raised by Petrol Dealer Association.
