Seraikela: Kolhan DIG Manoj Ratan convened a significant review meeting with district-level police officials in Seraikela, focusing on the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Joined by SP Manish Toppo, SDPOs of Chandil and Seraikela, and all police station officers, the DIG emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and adherence to guidelines.
Amidst the heightened anticipation surrounding the elections, DIG Manoj Ratan received a guard of honor upon his arrival in Seraikela. Subsequently, the meeting delved into various aspects of election preparedness, with the DIG providing essential directives to the officials.
Addressing the gathering, the DIG underscored that the voting process for candidates vying for three Lok Sabha seats in Seraikela-Kharsawan district will be conducted across two phases. Given the presence of Naxal-affected areas and the proximity to bordering states, particular attention was directed towards formulating strategies to ensure security and smooth conduct of elections in these regions.
To this end, sensitive and highly sensitive polling booths will be identified, with dedicated deployment of police personnel to maintain law and order. The district police is steadfast in its commitment to uphold the principles of fair elections, with preparations nearing completion.
