Jamshedpur, June 30: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Singhbhum MP Geeta Koda Thursday blamed the state government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
Reacting to the murder of contractor Kanhaiya Singh, brother-in-law of former Ichagarh MLA Arvind Singh, the couple said Adityapur had witnessed a spurt in gruesome crimes like murder.
“This entire region has become a den of criminals and their illegal activities. This clearly shows the poor law and order situation,” said the former CM.
Geeta Koda said she would demand strong measures on part of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and local MLA Champai Soren to improve the law and order situation in Adityapur and other parts of Seraikela-Kharsawan.
The couple visited the residence of Arvind Singh at Adityapur on coming to know about the murder. Many friends and well-wishers of the former Ichagarh MLA met him at his residence where the mortal remains of Kanhaiya Singh were brought after autopsy. Former state BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale and Deputy Chairman of Adityapur Municipal Corporation Amit Singh Bobby were also present. The body of Kanhaiya Singh was sent to his native place at Samastipur in an ambulance for cremation.
