Jamshedpur: Brahmanand Narayana Hospital organized a kidney health awareness programme with particular emphasis on maintaining kidney health. The event featured various events including informative sessions, free blood pressure screenings, dietary and lifestyle advice sessions, and poster displays to raise awareness about kidney health.

The program was attended by Clinical Director Dr. M.L. Ali, Medical Superintendent Dr. Mukesh Kumar, and kidney disease specialists Dr. Wahid Khan and Dr. Sujit Kumar.

Dr. Wahid Khan, a renowned kidney disease specialist, addressed the audience, stressing the growing significance of kidney health in modern times. He highlighted the rising prevalence of kidney issues due to factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and unhealthy lifestyles.

Dr. Khan also warned against the dangers of self-medication, urging individuals to consult specialists rather than resorting to self-prescribed treatments, which could potentially harm the kidneys.

Facility Director of the Hospital, Mr. Vinit Raj, highlighted the annual awareness campaign held on March 14, aimed at promoting healthy diets, regular exercise, and routine check-ups to maintain kidney health.
