Koderma: Aryan Raj, the six-year-old boy abducted from Jhumri Tilaiya in Jharkhand, has been successfully recovered in Prayagraj, marking the end of a harrowing ordeal. The police apprehended two women who were found transporting the child towards Delhi.
The incident unfolded when Aryan Raj, the son of Gopi Yadav, was flying kites on the terrace with his cousin. Their playful afternoon took a sinister turn when their kite broke, leading them outside to continue playing. Seizing the opportunity, two women approached the children under the guise of offering them kites. Subsequently, one of the children was sent back home while the other was taken away by the women.
The family reported the kidnapping by filing a late-night FIR at the local police station. Swift investigative measures revealed CCTV footage capturing the two women accompanying the children. Pooja Devi, a resident of Azad Mohalla, was identified from the footage, prompting immediate police action.
Remarkably, within 24 hours of the kidnapping report, the police successfully located and recovered the abducted six-year-old child in Prayagraj. Both women involved in the kidnapping, including Pooja Devi, have been taken into custody.
Aryan’s mother, Poonam Devi, along with his grandfather Basant Yadav and grandmother Gauri Devi, narrated the sequence of events leading to the abduction. The two children were initially playing on the terrace at around 2 pm when their kite fell. The women, purportedly arriving to assist with a new kite, took Aryan away while sending his cousin Molu back home.
The family disclosed that the same women had visited Aryan’s house the previous night, knocking on the gate. The motive behind the kidnapping remains under investigation as the community expresses relief and gratitude for the swift police action leading to Aryan’s safe recovery.
