Khadi Gramodyog Bhawan celebrates foundation day

Jamshedpur, March. 3: The foundation day of Jharkhand State Khadi Gramodyog Bhawan Bistupur was celebrated with fervor on Thursday, March 3.

On the occasion director of the store Vibhuti Kumar Rai along with others paid floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and first Prime Minister of the country Jawaharlal Nehru.

At the event Rai said, the citizens can avail discount on Khadi clothes till March 31. �40 per cent discount will be available on readymade clothes, 30 per cent on cotton and khadi while 50 per cent discount will be available on blankets.

Significantly, Bistupur store was inaugurated by late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on March 3, 1958. Under the supervision of Khadi board chairman Jaynandu the khadi industry is on the path to progress.

Also present at the event was BSNL�s Abhay, Gopa Kumar, Rakesh, Manoj, Suman, Sangeeta, Reetika, Bharti, Anita and others were present.
