Kerala Public School Kadma honours ICSE, ISC toppers

Jamshedpur, July 11: Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma hosted its much-anticipated Annual Prize Nite 2025, celebrating the academic excellence of its ICSE and ISC achievers in a grand ceremony held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Piyush Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jamshedpur, alongside a distinguished panel of guests including KPS Chairperson Manorema Nair, Director Mr. Sharat Chandran, Academic Director Mrs. Lakshmi R, Assistant Director Mrs. Shanta Vaidyanathan, Principal Mrs. Sharmila Mukherjee, and Headmistress Mrs. Alamelu Ravishankar.

The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the light of knowledge, followed by a warm welcome address to the Chief Guest. Principal Mrs. Mukherjee presented the Annual School Report, highlighting the school’s academic milestones and co-curricular achievements. A vibrant welcome dance by the students added colour to the celebration.

Director Sharat Chandran lauded the students’ achievements and praised the unwavering support of teachers and parents. The felicitation ceremony followed, where grand trophies, cash awards, and Certificates of Excellence were presented to the ICSE and ISC toppers across Science, Commerce, Arts, and Children with Special Needs categories. Notably, Kumari Nikita, a 100% visually impaired student, was specially honoured for her remarkable ISC result.

A total of 376 students from ICSE and ISC were recognised for scoring 90% and above, along with 31 teachers who guided them to excellence. Chief Guest Shri Pandey applauded the students’ hard work and emphasized the crucial role of schools and teachers in shaping young minds. He urged students to “Say No to Drugs” and sensitised parents about the perils of substance abuse.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Senior Coordinator Ms. T. Veena, followed by the National Anthem, marking a proud and inspiring end to an evening dedicated to achievement and academic brilliance.
