Jamshedpur, Dec 11: Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma, celebrated its Annual Primary Day with grandeur and enthusiasm on Wednesday evening. Themed “Tapestry of Patriotism,” the event highlighted the essence of national pride and the importance of values in shaping young minds. Held at the school’s main assembly ground, the program began at 5:30 pm and saw the participation of around 360 students from Classes 3 to 5.
The special guest for the evening was Hassan Imam, while Sunil Mukherjee attended as the guest of honour. The event also witnessed the presence of Chairperson Manorama Nair, Directors Sharat Chandran and Srikant Nair, Founder Principal Shanta Vaidyanathan, Academic Directors Lakshmi R and Rachana Nair, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, and Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar. Principals and Vice Principals from other branches of Kerala Public School, as well as a galaxy of other dignitaries, added to the event’s significance.
The theme “Tapestry of Patriotism” served as a metaphor for the values, qualities, and principles that unite individuals to form a strong and vibrant nation. Through various performances and activities, the students explored how patriotism intertwines with life skills represented by the 7 C’s, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and citizenship.
A series of captivating performances kept the audience engaged. The program lineup included “Symphony of Tradition,” “One World, One Voice,” “The Eternal Flow,” and “Dream for a Better World,” among others. These performances showcased the students’ creativity, teamwork, and understanding of national values. Through storytelling and artistic expression, the young participants demonstrated how these ideals contribute to building a prosperous society.
Speaking on the occasion, one of the dignitaries commented, “Events like these play a crucial role in shaping young minds. They teach children to value their heritage and understand their responsibility towards the nation. The performances today are a testament to the bright future of our country.”
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by student Utkarsh Niwas, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, and parents for their support and encouragement.
