Jamshedpur, Sept 14: Continuing its annual tradition, the Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) celebrated Onam 2025 on Sunday with the inmates of Nirmal Hriday, the old age home run by the Missionaries of Charity in Sakchi. The celebration reflected a spirit of sharing, love, and community bonding.
The programme began with a Holy Mass in Malayalam, celebrated by Father Joseph (XLRI) and Father John Ottaplackal (St. Mary’s Parish), along with the sisters of the Missionaries of Charity and KCA members.

During the event, a special farewell was organised for Sebiraj and Annie, who are leaving Jamshedpur. The couple was appreciated for their long-standing cooperation and valuable support to the KCA group.

After the farewell, the traditional Onam Sadya was served on banana leaves to all inmates and members. The inmates enjoyed the delicious variety of dishes, prepared entirely by KCA members. The warmth and affection of the celebration deeply touched everyone present.
More than 200 people relished the festive meal, which was prepared and served with great dedication.

KCA President Jiju Thomas thanked the members for their tireless efforts, including vegetable preparation on Saturday and the beautiful pookalam designed at the old age home. He said, “If it weren’t for our dedicated office bearers and members, this Onam celebration would not have been such a blessed event.”
The celebration concluded with joy, gratitude, and festive spirit.
